The stock for rifle from 375 H&H and Up!

IMHO the best place to get the concept is with shotguns. The have a fair recoil and generally a day of shooting involves quite a few rounds so shotgun shooters tend to pay quite a bit of attention to stock fit. I would suggest a minimum of drop at heel (above it was mentioned a straight comb). This means that the rifle doesn't jump upwards into your face. The comb can also slope downwards towards the action slightly. Also length of pull should be correct so that your right thumb doesn't hit your nose. A slight cast on the stock can also help with recoil, directing the rifle away from your face on recoil. Your eyes should align with the sights without forcing your cheek onto the stock or leaving a gap. So in essence the best stock is different for each person but for recoil reduction, I believe minimum drop at heal, straighter comb and a slight cast or left bend to the stock all while aligning your eye with the sights.

The CZs feel great partly because they are beefier than some other stocks. Another way of saying: avoid the narrow comb with the heavy recoilers.

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc
