TANZANIA: Back From The Selous

Congratulations on an excellent safari and some very nice trophies!

Looks like you picked a great spot. Thank you for the detail. I was fortunate to hunt RSA last May for my first safari.

I am diving into research for my next safari and Leopard is on the list but your dry land hippo experience sounds exceptional. Tanzania and the selous is looking really nice. My ole lady would love Zanzibar as well and your culinary experience in camp also apeals to me.

Was that Calgary AB you flew out of? Your route sounds like part of the adventure!

Hey man thanks, yes we flew out of Calgary AB. Zanzibar was definitely a nice ad on and we would definitely do that again.

Great report. I’ve found it’s hard to think about heading back to Southern Africa after hunting East Africa.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
