Taking bullets (not ammunition) to Professional Hunter

I had no problem bringing bullets and brass to my PH this past July in South Africa, in my checked luggage. I was using a camp rifle for my hunt so no rifle or loaded ammo with me.

I have brought bullets to South Africa without issue.

My clients , friends and family have often brought me bullets and brass. Never had a problem if done in moderation ie a pack or two. Don’t go exceeding the weight limit!

just don't take loaded ammo if it does not fit you gun, but my ammo has never been checked and the guys from Hammer Bullets take bullets to their Safari operator so he can load them and have had no issue that I know of

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
