Guys just looking who has first hand experience with these model scopes?
I found one for a smoking deal from a friend , side by side the vx3HD it doesn’t seem night and day difference like the binos of the same companies are.

It’s the same size and weight roughly but also no exposed turrets which I like on a set and forget it system.

Any insight is appreciated

I personally love the Swaro Habicht scopes and have a 1-4x24 with heavy circle reticle (maybe 4a, can’t recall) I’m about to mount on a 505 Gibbs. I think the glass is fantastic for the time period. Comparing it to current Z8 glass is a little unfair as glass and coatings have come a long way. Think same holds true to some of the old Schmidt & Bender—-excellent glass and bomb proof, but not as amazing as current production.

Not sure if that helps—but great scopes.

Any insight helps, I more worried about ruggedness than anything, I’m sitting in my shooting shack as we speak 30 mins after sunset, the heavy German post reticle definitely helps on a 3D target 200 yards away compared to the finer vx3.

I’ve got a couple of them. I find them to be outstanding values for the money. I’ve managed to pick both of mine up around the $350 range when they came available at a particular auction I watch…

If the one you’re watching is indeed a smoking deal and you decide to pass on it, please let me know… I’d buy another one if it’s in good shape in a heartbeat..

I've had one on my .375 for 30 years. Still going strong. Use with confidence!

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
