I'm prepping for a return to Saskatchewan in 2 weeks. I took an awesome 7+ foot cinnamon last year that was written up here. The camp just took this bear that was 20 13/16" and 504 lbs...truly a great bear anywhere, anytime.

Who is going after bears this spring?

My son and i leave for NE Sask in about 10 days, new outfitter for us, hoping on good fishing/hunting before he heads to dental school in August

Huge black bears. I am trying to get a tag here in Michigan and will bait on my property if I get one. Probably won't get anything that size but it will be satisfying to get a decent size one!!

Where you going? I will be at Spirit Creek Outfitters the last week of May.

I love bear hunting in SK. The only downside is 1 bear only. I need to try another province sometime.

Record class bear from AZ...taken while being very sick and not knowing it was Covid. I was miserable but that was a nice bear!

Trails End Outfitters, Tobin Lake
This is my 3rd trip to Sask, took my kids to BC a few years back, was a fun hunt, but the fishing is hard to beat in Sask, plan on Manitoba eventually, but the guide i want to use was booked out

We will be there last week of May too, we fly into Saskatoon on Saturday, hotel, then drive to camp on Sunday

Same camera different days in Alaska. The area at the foot of the Alaska Range has too many bears. You can shoot two brown bears and five black bears!

I would like to hint a bear for a nice rug.

I would love to get a Cinnamon phase black bear as I would not spend the budget for a Grizzly .

A spring bear hunt sounds great because I don’t see me liking the idea of a freezing Alaska hunt thought it would be a great experience.

There was a recent short video posting on FB of a grizzly taking a dead black bear up the hill next to the road in a national park somewhere...Yellowstone?

Found it. Even grizzlies like to hunt spring black bears...

Ah, we can't hunt our black bears here in the spring, only fall. I see plenty of tracks and scat during turkey season, but they are long gone by the time i get there.

Stunning cinnamon !
And the NOGGEN on the "Panzerkampfwagen" WOW!
Poor kid in the background of the video probably going to have Nightmares after seeing the brownie takeout the Blackie

Good luck

Good morning,
Did you hunt w Leeuwkop at their ranch or in Zimbabwe? The ranch looks awesome, but I'll be in Zimbabwe for buffalo and whatever else we dig up.
What did you hunt for?
Vaccines?
What rifle did you use?
I feel like I need a good cotton safari shirt and an ammo belt to make the hunt feel right!
How often did you shoot prior to going?
Did you use sticks for shooting practice?
