SOUTH AFRICA: South African Hunting Safari With Crusader Safaris 2016

Sorry, Late to the party. Thanks for your write up. I have a buff hunt planned for next spring with Crusader. Can't wait.

Make sure to prep the wall space ahead of time. You won't come home disappointed. I cannot say enough good things about Andrew and his team. Do you know yet where you will hunt your buff?

First trip to Africa. I think Buff hunt will be the same place you were hunting, adjacent to Kruger. Guess I'm not sure. After Buff will head down to Umkomaas for plains game. Hoping for Kudu, Nyala, and Bushbuck.

Just noticing this post now Christina. Great looking buff. Congratulations on the hunt, and thanks for posting.(y)

70 days has finally whittled down to less than 7....but these last days are going to feel like 70! I'm looking forward to getting out in the Umkomaas with Crusader Safaris.

Then let me torture you a bit. It was lush and green when I was there. And I love the tented cabins. The lodge itself, is built into the side of the mountain.

:)

The blue wildebeest I hunted while in Umkomaas. It was tough to hunt there, because I often was too busy soaking in the beauty of the area. :)

Yeahhhhhhh....that did not help one bit. You take some good pictures though!

Thank you for that exhilarating report! Just makes me wish my trip to Namibia was sooner.

Your story sounds like you'll have a book on the way soon. If not, maybe you should consider it. Great photos and story make for a great novel!

I appreciate your comments. I am no writer. But I am an avid reader. My sons, however, have always loved to write. My oldest is a now a News Editor for a government periodical out of Washington D.C. I'll pass your comments on to him and see if he and I can collaborate on some sort of African safari hunting thriller. Maybe exposing some of the corruption in the industry. Especially involving poaching. Hmmmmm......;):)

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
