I'm getting a 6mm Creedmoor, primarily for non-competition long range (600 yard) target shooting. I see that I can get brass for it in either large or small primers. I've read that serious shooters use small primers but have seen no statistical data to support the claim. Does anyone have a preference and what is the opinion based on?

my understanding is that the small primer pocket leaves the case head stronger because there is more material than with the larger rifle primer pocket so you can use more aggressive charges with safer pressure limits but you can get better consistency with the less aggressive primer resulting in tighter standard deviations, it probably means nothing at standard hunting ranges but when you want to stretch out it is a benefit

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
