Shooting the Martini Henry Sportster .450/.577 and Mauser 1871 single shot black powder rifle

Nice Gert, did you pick that up from Classic Arms ?

Hope all is well with you ?
Hallo Sarge, my apologies for the late reply...
I recently worked on loads for the Martini Henry. Planned to chronograph the loads, but I used the loads on one of our SA Hunters shooting events to give an opportunity to fellow SA Hunter members to experience shooting a Martini Hendry rifle since they have never fired a Martini Henry rifle ever before...

Then another opportunity arose when my son Ruan completed his studies and had time to visit and we shot a few calibers like my 9.3x62, .300 WM, Martini Henry and my 8x57 rifle...

I spend time yesterday to re-load for the Martini Henry again...this time I only re-load with the 88 gn ZAR FFFG black powder ( manufactured by Johan Greyling) , disks, wad and grease cookie and the cast grooved bullet that have been paper patched.

I did anneal the necks , it full size softly in the Martini Henry full sizing die. Bullet seating was great as well, I did manage to get the OAL the same every time..

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?
