I am seeking advise on using 5744 for some light loads. I understand that Trail Boss or similar will also work.

The rifle is a Ruger No.1 so I am not worried about regulation.
We have a range event coming up and some of the people have an itch to shoot the 450-400.

Let me know what you have.

I've used 5744 with 210 grain pistol bullets and 300 grain bullets meant for the .405 in 2 doubles I had and a Ruger number 1. It worked great. Trailboss worked for the Ruger, but velocity was too slow to regulate in the doubles.

I just found after a deeper search this morning a 5744 recipe of 46 grains for a 400 grain bullet
Also a 50 grains for a 300 grain bullet.
Still seeking Trail Boss or Tin Star data.

Hi Bandera, I don't remember how many grains, but fill up the case with Trailboss to the bottom of the bullet when seated or just below. You cannot compress Trailboss any at all. The velocity out of my No1 was about 1600 fps. Fun to shoot.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
