Dear Members,

I’m pleased to share some exciting news: I’ve been in direct contact with Mr. Ron Thomson, who has recently relocated to Pretoria. Many of you will recall that BASA recently auctioned off his .458 Win Mag, and during that event I had the pleasure of discussing his books with him in person.

Tomorrow, I’ll be meeting with Mr. Thomson again to compile a list of the titles he currently has in stock, along with pricing details.

One challenge we’ll need to navigate is international shipping, which can be costly. To make this more feasible, I propose organizing bulk shipments to key regions — for example, the EU, USA, and Australia — which should help reduce individual shipping costs.

For those interested, signed copies will be available.

I also mentioned to Mr. Thomson that there’s strong interest in his work from the AH community. He confirmed that all his books are digitally archived with the printers, so if any titles are currently out of stock, reprints are possible. We’ll explore the costs involved, depending on the level of interest.

That’s all for now — I’ll post an update after tomorrow’s visit.

Warm regards,
Frederik

Ron is a legend! Having read a few of this books i'm always impressed by his dedication to conservation. He could have gone into sport hunting or anything else. With so many elephant to his credit he is one of the greats for sure! I hope folks have a chance to read them.

I would definitely be interested in these books.

I would love to have the book about elephant conservation and to be signed. I'll be visiting friends and family in '27 in South Africa so it could be delivered to their address to save me the shipping costs. Let me know if it is possible. DM is preferable.

I missed this thread somehow when it was posted. If there are enough orders for delivery in the EU, I can offer to have them added to one of the seafaring containers of goods I import yearly. Next one would be in a few months in spring 2026. This should normally be quite a bit cheaper than via airfreight. Send me a DM.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
