Thanks Will.

Interesting.

Mine is dated 2022, with the Pensbury Place address on the barrel and has the marking inside the action raceway.

I'd not noticed this until now.

And IIRC, on newer production, the front sight assembly is no longer sleeved on?

Which one are we saying is the go forward and new ? The small letters or the script?

They Ft. Worth Cabelas received 26-ish + of these rifles, HornfrogBBQ went and looked over a number of them, 404J for him and 450R for me…and all had the newer matte black grip cap and cross
Bolts vs the case colored ones of years past, and then noted the distinction in the barrel script. Since this is done by Mauser in Germany before plasma coating and shipping to Rigby, the barreled actions were clearly two different batch runs, and the script change somewhere in the middle but then rolled off Rigby’s finish line around the same time.

I'm thinking the change may be because the address of the shop won't be the same after moving into their new shop. The script no longer contains the Pensbury Place address .

Maybe I missed it But wanted to ask If Cabela's is a Rigby dealer now --- I saw two different 450 PH Rifles listed at two diff stores yesterday?

Interesting my 404J is in the bottom old English Scroll. Rigby BGR PM model.

If you plan to hunt Buff with this rifle, I have some bullets I'm willing to part with. PM sent.
