Retirement and next chapter

Retiring in 3.5 years. I have done pretty well setting myself up financially other than a few small adjustments. So taking the next couple years to work on the lifestyle part. Working on my farm and fitness will be a big part of retirement as well as travel and hunting. Might even start fishing again. Pretty much the stuff I like to do now just not enough time.

Well, my friend, after three heart attacks, you’ve clearly decided that life has had three chances to get rid of you and failed miserably! (y) At this point, I suspect even the Grim Reaper sees your name on the list and says, no not this bloke again! :)

Jokes aside, I admire your attitude. You’ve got it absolutely right the goal isn’t merely to add years to life, but to add life to the years we have. And if you can annoy a few people along the way, apparently that’s just a bonus for cardiovascular and your mental health! :ROFLMAO:. I try but not verygood at it, but I do try to learn from you ...seriously, all that 243win et.al.

Your daily routine sounds remarkably practical, although I might suggest that pissing people off should come after the coffee, not before. We don't want to give your cardiologist any unnecessary excitement!
Keep enjoying life, cherishing your family and friends, and giving the rest of us a reason to shake our heads and laugh. Just remember, mate, there’s a fine line between living life to the fullest and making your doctor’s Christmas bonus depend on you! :E Lol::A Hi Five:

I did try jogging once because I got told it was a great way to meet people.
The day I tried it I met 2 EMTs, the people at the A&E department,a cardiologist and at one stage I thought I was going to meet God.
I thought if they are the people you meet jogging I will give that idea a big miss.
Trying to add years to your life is pointless but adding life to your years is worth the time and effort as everyone benefits especially you.

Are you serious, or are you pulling my leg?

I am not retired, but took an 8 year break once. My biggest lesson from that was make the money last. I had a bunch of experiences that others only dream of, but it is very hard to get the momentum going again should you need to do so.

Do you mind me asking what auction you are referencing? I'm not in the market for any of those rifles...just curious.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
