It's called something different in the USA but we have it and the brenneke site says they are only supposed to be used in rifled barrels- the ribs on the slug are a lot wider than a normal Brenneke slug which is supposed to give the rifling something to grab onto

In Europe Opale brenneke is in USA Golden Crash.Only rifled barrel or smooth barrel with no choke coukd be used

Followed this post and modified a beautiful German double for slugs in Canadian bush for bear,deer and moose. Also found a pair of 18” inserts in 45/70. They add some weight but make the setup a true poor man’s double
