I am about to book with Phillip Smythe of Ivory Trails Safaris but the method of payment confuses me. He is in Zimbabwe but uses an agency here called African Adventures. Money is supposed to get wired to a bank in Oklahoma with an account under that name but the address for the actual agency is a Scottsdale AZ. I googled that and I don't see any African Adventures at that address. Everything seems on the Up and Up and he is an excellent guy and has answered all my questions and this may be standard procedure for paying safari deposits but since this is my first one I figured I would ask the guys that know. Which is you guys.

Hi @Backyardsniper, This is to inform you that your post was edited for privacy reason. Thank you for your understanding, Jerome

No problem. I spoke with him and apparently that is where the lawyers.office resides that takes care of his stateside business and there is in fact a lawyer at that address so that makes sense I suppose

Just about every outfitter has a US bank account. Especially Zimbabwe outfitters as there currency is absolute crap and the govt changes rules all the time. It is good to double check, deal only with outfitters you verify and be careful but slot of the payment structure is based on trust. Good luck.

Thanks man. I appreciate it, this seems to be what I've gathered. I guess the only way to find out is to go for it. I can't find anything bad about him and he has been on thr spot with all the info and answering any question I had. I would say he would have given up and found somebody else to dwindle if he was looking for easy money. Ha ha. I have asked the poor fellow 9000 questions. Ha ha

Agents no doubt have U.S. bank accounts but the outfitters I've hunted with in Africa didn't. I had to wire to their accounts over there.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
