Gents - Has anyone traded with Pacific Sporting Arms which has operations in California and Michigan? The company identifies as the largest Blaser dealer in America. I'm interested in Grade 9 wood or higher for my R8. (I wish I could buy from @dogcat1 but his bolts are on the wrong side). Any color or feedback is appreciated. The shop seems great on the phone, but this is the kind of purchase that is better in person, and I have no way of visiting either shop. Thanks and best to all.

Thank you very much. Your comments make me feel much more relaxed about the transaction. Since my post, I placed an order with them to upgrade my R8 with fancy wood and some other enhancements. I appreciate online shopping for so many items, but I guess I’m still old fashioned when it comes to buying firearms and the like.

I placed an order with the Michigan store. The salesman was knowledgeable about the process, and professional. I was on the verge of ordering with another shop that I had visited with at SCI, but I paused when I saw on that shop’s website that they would match prices. I thought Blaser pricing was fairly standard from retailer to retailer, but decided to check around for good measure. I saved about 25% on my order with Pacific Sporting Arms even though the shop was using Blaser 2026 pricing. The first shop was given the chance to match prices, but they couldn’t or wouldn’t. I’m not sure what happened with that shop, frankly, but the experience was odd. I share this in hope that it will help other members who might be in a similar situation. I upgraded my synthetic stock to Grade 9 wood, and added an engraved bolt handle, silver pistol grip cap of stags, and a gold trigger. Attached are some photos of the wood. I’ve wanted an elegant rifle with beautiful wood since I was a wee lad. My first rifle was a Glenfield Model 20, 22 LR, which I still have.
