"I used to work as a sales manager. The whole point of the profession is in this anecdote.
"Two new Russians meet, one tells the story: "Can you imagine, for just 10 grand I bought myself an elephant. I am very satisfied. The elephant guards the site, and drives the children, I go to the store on it, everyone turns around, He can use his trunk to drive my car. Super elephant!" The second one says: "And sell me your elephant for 20 grand." The first one thought about it and agreed.
They meet again two weeks later. The one who bought the elephant from a friend says: "Buddy, take your elephant back, at least for a few bucks. He broke my whole house, he fucked up the garden, the kids shied away from him, the mother-in-law is hysterical, you can't afford to feed him!
"Uh, my friend, the first new Russian answers him, you won't sell an elephant with THIS MOOD!"

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
