IMPORTANT STARTING April 1, 2025: Nationals and citizens of countries that have not reciprocated Namibia’s gesture of visa exemption will be required to apply for a visa in order to gain entry into Namibia.

Apparently one cannot apply for the Visa more than 90 days prior to the departure date.

To apply for your Visa in advance to enter Namibia please visit the following link: https://eservices.mhaiss.gov.na.

Note: All foreigners must be in possession of a passport that will remain valid for at least six months after the intended date of departure from Namibia as well as a round trip airline ticket. While flying through South Africa, make sure you have at least two blank pages in your passport for visa stamps, more if you are adding stops to other countries in your itinerary.

I’m going through the process right now, been days and all it says is successfully applied on the website. I arrive next Tuesday.

That’s a little bit of a worry. One would like to have all your ducks in a row prior to wheels up.
Hakuna matata, it’s Africa ‍♂️

If they fail to come through with your e-visa, you can always apply when you arrive at the airport in Windhoek. Not optimal, but not the end of the world. Good luck on your trip!

This thread spurred me earlier today to get my ducks in a row ! So I registered, logged in and started filling out the E-visa on line.
The first couple of pages were ok, name, dob, address, passport number etc etc.
Then it got a bit tiresome, upload return ticket, upload passport…….
I gave up. The form to present at immigration is far simpler. I’ll join the queue.

Ya my friend @JINKLE got approved same day, but this was before April 1st.

I submitted my E-Visa application on the 1st and still nothing. @TRAVEL EXPRESS told me they are most likely swamped since it went into affect this week…

I agree. Oh Africa

I am not too worried as I can get one on arrival, just wanted to work through the new system, its a pain, especially because I am leaving overland through Zambia so no return ticket.

I may have gotten lucky, but I was 103 days out when I applied earlier this week. No problems.

Applied for visa on arrival through the website ~40d out from an upcoming safari. Approved instantly and had copies in my hand in 5min. TBD how presenting the copy in Windhoek goes.

to follow up on this post safari - quick and painless entry to Namibia with the printed copy of evisa. Handed the clerk my passport and all the supporting files listed on the evisa and was through in just a couple minutes

Sounds painless. Did you have to show actual Travel Insurance, such as Global Rescue, or just Health Insurance?

You don’t have to show any of that on arrival. And online I just put a picture of my insurance card haha.

You do still have to fill out the customs paper work they hand out on the plane. Even if you have the E-visa printed out. They want both on arrival.

I showed travel health insurance that was valid in Namibia for the duration of my stay, the one I had did not have global rescue and was only ~$20-30. Not sure they even looked into it to be honest

Here's the target for the NorthForks - 25yds off a bag, iron sights. Hunting leopards over dogs the range won't be more than that.

Flew in an airshow in Smyrna years ago, beautiful country.

Best regards,

Franco
