Hello everyone!!

All of my hunting career ive wanted a classic double. Ive owned several Mauser 98 in different calibers ranging from 9.3x62 ( my favorite) to 460.
I have now pulled the trigger so to speak and purchased an Thomas Bland 450NE - London. And i cant wait for the Licens to drop in the mail.
And would you do anything prior to shooting it? its I think its about 60-100 years old.

Now about the ammo, is there still new Kynoch ammo available??

Regards Johan H Andersson

Yes, ive found Hornady for sale at my dealer, then i will se if i find some old Kynoch boxes for sale. I will post pictures asap. I will mostly try it on hogs in Sweden at the moment, but hopefully in Africa later.
It has to go back to its former adventure grounds

I checked with the importer in Norway..but sorry.. Anyway..welcome :)

No i have never given it the time. But i maybe forced with this as its not so easy to find factory ammo
I had a Ruger nr 1 in .450 NE for many years, perhaps cheapest cartridge I had to reload for with exception of standard ones . But that was one barrel and such . But standard .458
Bullets and Bertram brass or Hornady make the brass and some other also .

If you don't send us pictures, and especially the proof marks, it will be difficult to give advice. The rifle is more likely to be 100 years old than 60, because 60 years ago, hunting in Africa was on the decline and hardly any such rifles were built.

Welcome aboard!

We demand pictures at your nearest convenience….

I think Kynoch is out of business, but I believe Hornady loads 450ne
I buy Hornady DGX Bonded and DGS so I can get the brass for reloading. I have a Rigby in 450 NE made in 1905 that I love

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

Thanks

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
