Offf you must have really needed to move fast. As the chief constable would have stepped in quite sharpish to take all firearms off sight. Going bust means a gunmaker is out of business once they stop trading then they lose their license so cops step straight in.
Must have been in a good county. Our chief constable is a thunt spelt with no th but a capital C :ROFLMAO:
Is it finished? A pic would be nice cheers.
Yes we moved very fast with the help of the rifle maker . He knew of another rifle maker who was also a practicing solicitor who took the rifle onto his books and the original maker went and worked for him . It was finished after an extra 12 months . I got a few grey hairs but ended up with a magnificent 500NE double with a snap underlever action and rising bite third fastener .

I forgot to add I fitted a 3 point diamond onto the front sight . It shows in the photos . Only cost about A$100 although it sounds wildly extravagant . It is quite a common feature on high end doubles from India . It works particularly well for me in when shooting in late afternoon .

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
