A coworker of mine brought in a brand new set of these to show me. I'm not big on expandables but these broadheads are VERY sturdy and I was immediately impressed.

In watching the promo design video from Day6 these broadheads were made for the reluctant mechanical broadhead user.

The guy making them didn’t want to make a mechanical but the market demands them- so went for the “hybrid” route since he want one as reliable, strong, and penetrating as a fixed with better flight characteristics and slightly wider cut of a mech.

I’m guessing the way the arrow bounced straight back means you had perfect arrow flight. It wasn’t still flexing and flopping at impact. Or the arrow tail would have kicked up, down, left or right at impact.

Man, those are both great options! Can't go wrong with either one. I've taken a lot of animals with the Beasts COC, but haven't yet with the Verse. I'd be confident with either on the end of my elk arrow.
