Namibia gun permits

As I wrote in another thread I have a friend going leopard hunting in Namibia. Due in part to the post on that thread he is planning on taking his own rifles. He is a older gentleman and I usually take care of his paperwork. I haven’t been to Namibia before.

What paperwork do I need to get, to get rifles into Namibia? He is going into JBurg then driving to Namibia. Any help would be great.

In my experience, Namibia has been, by far, the easiest country to bring my rifles to.

Yes, very simple form to fill out. Much easier than SA.

@Jamie D Van Roekel Of course, by taking possession of his rifles in J'Berg, he will require the usual fiasco there, but I assume you are familiar with that part of it..............FWB

Biggest thing is getting his RSA gun permit preapproved through our sponsor Riflepermits.com. Namibia is over the counter on arrival.

That's a long drive. Probably be faster and easier to just fly to Namibia. As noted, will need temporary import permits from RSA.
