I recently returned from Namibia, completing an 8-day plains game hunt with @Jamy Traut Hunting Safaris. Hunting Africa has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and Jamy's operation made the dream a reality that was even better than I had imagined. Before even arriving, the customer service I experienced was excellent. In spite of helping her husband run their farm, Jamy's operations manager, Kirsten Lotter, answered my emails in great detail and made sure I was always informed and prepared every step of the way. As a busy undergraduate student and first-timer to hunt in Namibia, Kirsten was an asset in helping me through the planning and booking process. Upon arrival to Namibia, my Dad and I hunted the Panorama property, a beautiful and expansive area. The food and accomodation were excellent. We enjoyed some of the best meals we've had in months, all the while Jamy and his staff treated us like family. We were able to take Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Red Hartebeest, Springbok, and Gemsbok on this hunt. The game was abundant, but was all very wild and made for a satisfying and rewarding hunt. My Dad, who predominantly archery hunts elk and mule deer in the Utah mountains, wasn't disappointed with the challenging stalks. Our PH was Barend, of Hartland Hunting, (please see my review of him as he's phenomenal!), who ensured we had the right animal in our sights and got us in to comfortable shooting distances for ethical kills every time we pulled the trigger. Even though I'm a rookie in African hunting, I would recommend Jamy's operation to anyone wanting to hunt Namibia for their first or fiftieth time. There's a reason why he has so many clients coming back to hunt with him at any of their concessions across Namibia. Please see attached a few photos of some of the game we took, but shoot Jamy an email and put your next hunt together!

Welcome to the addiction. Yes Jaime has a great operation. Kirsten is a sweetheart and was always going above and beyond to help. We hunted Kaokoland then decided to do Etosha. Kirsten lined everything up then went to Panorama and hunted. After that went visit Swankomond and again Kirsten had everything ready. Her husband Loew is a great PH.

Congrats and thanks for sharing!

@Coues106 Excellent report.........thank you. Have never hunted with Jamy but he is on my short list for the next trip. You will be back I think..............FWB

I’m hunting with Jamy Traut’s outfit for an own use elephant in July ‘25 and can hardly wait. Kirsten has been extremely responsive to my myriad of questions and in handling the deposit.

Have you done a write up @Badger Matt as hoping to do similar next year? Thanks

Sadly, I had to cancel due to some health issues with family. They were, however, more than understanding with the cancellation and my deposit.

Congrats on your hunt !

Congratulations on your hunt. I hunted the Panorama camp in 2018 with Jamy as my PH. Food and accommodations were great. If Colin was your chef, I know you ate VERY well. Hunting was fantastic.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
