For ordinary hunt i will use this Aimpoint Micro sight with 2 MOA, it`s excellent for shooting up to 100 meters.

My second Choice is the Zeiss 1,1-4x24 HT scope, this is also very good for average hunting.

And what will you be hunting sir?

My trip in May I will hunt Buffalo cow and some plains game as Bushbuck, Next year I`m going to Mozambique for buffalo, Croc and others game, then I also will use my 470 NE barrel.
I also found a very good load for my double in 375 H&H Mag, I load with 300 grs A-Frame to a Vo at 2550 fps, My solids wich is 300 grsWoodleigh FMJ, have the same point of impact.

Sounds like you have grand adventures planned.

Yes I have, I`m planning more hunting in Africa in the years to come.
I also planning for a buff hunt i Australia, maybe in 2020.
My hunts for this years and next year are already booked and deopist payed.

As soon as I get a chance I also gonna hunt a Elephant, at least a tuskless, but also a trophy elephant if I find a great deal.

You see, I live only once, and I`m not gonna wear pockets on my shirt when I die, so it important to live the life when you have it.

Be aware that once you hunt elephant it’s in your blood and you must do it again. I scheme ev3n now to prepare a second elephant hunt.

What model is your double pictured in this post?

It`s a Krieghoff Classic Big Five in caliber 375 H&H Mag, I also ordered a extra barrelset in Cal 470 NE.

Beautiful rifle. My Merkel is a 470ne. That round packs a hell of a punch.

I had a Trijicon 1x4 with the green triangle put on my Merkel once I started having trouble with my eyes. Either optic that you have should work well, good luck on the hunt

My Choice:
Express sights for big things up close, and QD Leupold for small things further out.

I have never heard this expression. What does it mean?
It means that some people don`t use their money, and they think they bring the whole with them when they die.
And the pocket on the shirt are a expression that the guy are bringin all the money with when they get burried,

Amen. No point being the richest bloke in the graveyard.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
