So I found this website while I was trying to figure out more information on a rifle I have. This rifle I was told was made in 1939 but a few people have rebutted that it was not actually built in 39. Like the title says it’s a 9x57mm with the double set triggers. Any help on when this rifle was built would be appreciated and maybe value on it as well if that’s not prohibited, thanks in advance for any and all information!

Best regards

Dan

The serial number puts it at about 1922. The action is pre-WW I as it still has the Waffenfabrik rollstamp. Nice sporting Oberndorf Mauser. The scope mounts and scope may or may not be original. If they are, it will add value.

Not meaning to hijack but what's the 9x57 round compare to trajectory/energy wise?

I do believe the scope mounts are original but the scope I don’t believe is

like a hopped up .35 remington, may even get you into .358 winchester territory

hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
