Magnificent conservation / kudu film

Namibia looks like such a fantastic place hunt. I missed out last year but will definitely have to pull that trip together. Thanks for posting!

He has some good stuff. I remember he said once something along the lines that he was at the point of giving up hunting because hunting with a scope had lost it's challenge so went to open sights only.

Not quite at that point myself to fully give them up but i hunt a lot more with open sights these days. In a day and age with more and more tech and people stretching out stupid ranges hunting has become shooting. It's nice to get in close.

Top vid and beautiful country.

I hunted for my dik dik just up the road from that place it is a very rugged area but very beautiful with it Although the drought has taken its toll the last couple of years on the wildlife there.

Great movie with Kai Uwe Denker (the PH with the most 100pounder) and son as PH .
Erongo mountains must be the premium class of Namibian hunting.

But it shows me again how necessary a gun sling is.
In difficult terrain you need two hands.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
