As the title says, I am looking for a '13 hunt for sable with a better than average chance for
spotted hyena and eland.

I have a few outfits and agents already currently looking for me, but I thought I may see what those on here may be able to offer.

High fence would not be a deal killer, so long as it is of sufficient size. Lodging will need to be decent at least..I plan on taking dear ol Mom with me on this one and it's her 1st time over, and I want her to be comfortable.

As for sable, I'd like to know that there would be the chance (after all, it is hunting!) that a trophy bull can be taken.. I am not looking for a 36" "trophy" or a broken horn bull.

I'll be looking for a BLUE bull eland.. the more worn down the horns (and bigger the body) the better!!

I've been bit by the hyena.. Several hunts for them, none taken yet. I am really keen to get one this trip!

May take another Klippie too if they are available and the price is right. I blew my last one up for a L/S mount.

I am open to Zim, Namib, RSA, etc..

I'll need a good rifle rental too. We will be headed to Tanzania after the hunt and I do not want to drag a rifle through multiple countries. We are doing a few days of photo safaris and then I am climbing Kilimanjaro.

Looking for a May or Sept hunt.

Looking forward to seeing what could be offered here. Thanks!

Good luck on your climb.

Yes, definitely tell us about your climb.
I've considered the same thing but don't now if I can get away long enough to do both.

Thank you all for the various PMs thus far. Please keep them coming.

For sure, guys.. I'll let you know how the climb goes.

Got something in the works for my hunt.
Thanks for the offers and PMS.

Cheers

Hi Scotty

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
