Looking for 550 grain Solids - 460W

Good evening folks,

I am trying to source in the US, a good 550 grain solid (great mono or decent jacketed round) for reloading / guiding purposes back in Africa. To be used in a Mark V Weatherby 460. I had a friend with 600gr rounds, but these were quite long and there some issues with these.

Dzombo in South Africa made a 550-grain solid in .458. I'm not sure if they are available in the US, though.

Many companies offer 550gr bullets caliber .458, but unfortunately, they are often not available.

I know the cartridge 460 Weatherby Magnum very good, so I would be happy with the 500gr bullets. Given the impact velocity you can achieve with this cartridge, the 50gr weight difference of a bullet is in my opinion no longer important.

If you’re still looking for bullets, northfork makes 550 grain 0.458 solid and expanding bullets that are well regarded. Which are almost always available through reloading international.

Is g’s custom bullets still around? I had used some 450 grain bullets of theirs on a couple hunts but that was a little while ago but I thought they had 550 grainers.

Besides those and what was mentioned before one could always ask companies like hammer or cutting edge bullets if they’d cut what you’d want. No real reason to do that but it’s possible.
