I have a 338 WinMag that I’m going to use for planes game in 45 days.

I have VX five 3 to 15 on it and I got the custom dial done from Leopold

Below are the results with it set on 100 yards and the results with it set on 300 yards

Pretty pleased about this

Ruger guide gun with a suppressor and a Bell and Carlson stock with the mercury, recoil reducer and Ernie’s gun Smith springs in the trigger. Pleasant to shoot.. I have rifles costing multiples of what this rifle cost me and none of them shoot like this one. It’s actually a little aggravating.

Very nice groupings. Curious as to whether you did your velocities to get it made with or without the suppressor? And did you add in any modifiers for temperature/altitude or left that standard?

Really like the CDS system as well. For precision shooting, sure you can get fancier, but in the heat of the moment a calibrated dial works wonders and gets you on target.

I had the dial set fior 50° temperatures and 5000 feet elevation at the speed it shoots with the suppressor

As I’m in south Louisiana, where it’s frequently below sea level and rarely 50°, there will be a minor variance. But considering I won’t shoot anything past 300 yards, I don’t think the variance will matter

I Iove the CDS system and have it on all my scopes that are used for hunting. If you have a rangefinder or range finding binoculars it takes only a few seconds to calculate range, then click the dial and you are bang on.

Your rig looks like it's ready to go hunting. (y)

That was the size of the 300 yard group before I finished load development. Changed seating depth and it tightened up considerably

The group difference between 100 and 300 was about an inch

Elevation and temperature differences are pretty minor inside 400 or 500 yards. Happy hunting!

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
