Update. Just had 2 Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 show up today. Guy bought somewhere towards Houston all would tell me.
Wish is the flea market version of TEMU...Three or four years ago, a friend at the range bought a “Leupold” off a website (Wish?). He was having issues with it. Called Leupold and the serial number was fraudulent.
Falsey's, Sir?Update. Just had 2 Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 show up today. Guy bought somewhere towards Houston all would tell me.
Falsey's, Sir?
Yes, counterfeit Swarovski Z3s, most notable on them is color of box, darker green, label also is close but not exact. Then main tell tale is placement of serial on bottom of turret not on eye piece like Swaro does.Update. Just had 2 Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 show up today. Thank you Mark.Hey all
Just a word of caution, there seems to be an influx of Leupold counterfeits hit the US market thru some web sites.
I have seen two this week now here in Texas come in. Both were VX3i 4-14x40
Tell tale signs on these, 1- Box color and label is off, looks like but is not real. 2- These were CDS Models now discontinued and the fakes are NON CDS
3- and the biggest one and fastest to see, power ring goes counter clockwise, A true Leupold goes clock wise.
There have been some VX5 also seen.
Leupold will verify if you call customer service any serial number.
Just wanted give you all a heads up

I would like to see this!I’m honestly happy to put together an optics/outdoor brand guide for spotting fakes if there’s enough interest.
