Introducing....The New 270 WLFUM (WINCHESTER LONG FAT ULTRA MAGNUM)

Check out this new caliber I'm developing for Winchester. The 270 WLFUM will fire a 130 grain WW Power Point at 5000 FPS! It will be the longest range deer/elk/PG rifle ever produced! The Cartridge will be housed in the new M70 Long Fat Ultra Mag Action, and will be sure to spawn a plethora of knock off calibers, such as the 404 WLFUM and many other traditional calibers of the future. But of course, with a muzzle energy of 7216 foot pounds, the 270 WLFUM will already handle any game alive, so there won't be much need for additional calibers. And the Power Point projectile has already been proving itself in the field for decades!
So pre-order yours today!

What's barrel life like mate and can I order one in light sporter please.
I may just have to get rid of my 25 and Whelen when it arrives. Just don't do it in 6.5mm we have enough of those.

The new and improved Power Point (tm), bullet will withstand the most rigorous of velocities. We tested it on a large stack of Playboy magazines and determined that it will offer reliable penetration on even the thickest of centerfolds.
@TOBY458
Now that's some rigorous testing .
Is there any truth to the rumors that @bruce moulds and @CBH provided the material for testing from their own private scientific collections of test media.

We at FN do appreciate the interest in our newest offering. We hope to sell quite a few of these rifles over the coming months. Pre-orders can be paid via PayPal to Toby458. Or bring check or MO to DSC 2021. First installment will be $5000.00 with monthly payments thereafter of $300 per month for a 36 month period. Then a final balloon payment of $1427.94.

i would guess that varget would have about the best burning rate for the new case.
bruce.
Oh, good thing they can buy “Varget” cheaper than we can buy the AR2208 that is produced here, that tips the scales on my budget, hopes and dreams shattered.

We have developed a new propellant for our new round as well. We teamed with Alliant to produce Reloader 37. It has a burn rate somewhere between RL25 and Kingsford Charcoal.

:LOL: Holy crap! You guys are killing me here! My wife just checked off another box on my crazy list cuz she has no idea why I’m crylaughing and whooping at the iPad.

But seriously...can I get it in solids too?
We have found that the Power Point (tm) bullet is such a great performer that solids are no longer needed. You merely have to hit somewhere "center mass" and certain death is assured.

While you mention the 17 and 19 inch barrels I bet it's true potential would come from at least a 36 inch to maybe in the 40s at that burn rate.

The modern Kentucky long rifle is back!

Pink mist with a little floating hair I presume. Wile E. Coyote stuff.

I'm gonna need the rimmed equivalent of this for a double rifle.
Easier to change barrels that way.
Better yet a lightweight stalking Kipplauf.

Anyone know where I can have a cartridge belt made?
@BeeMaa.
Maybe @Von Gruff can make you one and incorporate a horizontal sheath for one of his beautiful knives for you

Chris I was thinking of using a fast burning powder like 2400 for the sake of saving money. I figure quarter of a bottle should about do compared to half a bottle of Varget.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
