On Wednesday a Zimbabwe PH lost his life to a buffalo. This was not related to a hunt.

The buffalo was found in a gin trap. The understandably enraged buffalo focused his anger on one person, a Zimbabwe PH who died of massive chest and head wounds.

At this time I do not want to publish the name. The information that I received was from one of several eye witnesses of the tradegy.

This seems doubly sad to me.....if you target a buffalo, and you're trying to kill HIM, it's not so surprising when he turns the table. But to get killed this way? Prayers for loved ones. RIP...............FWB

Another horrific consequence of poaching.
Terrible news, made worse by the time of year for such a loss.
Thoughts to the family, friends and colleagues.

My condolences to his family and his friends. This is a tragedy .

This tragedy was 100% caused by the poacher who set the Gin trap no fault of the buffalo or the unfortunate person that the buff set his sights on.

Prayers sent

Hate to hear this, especially during Christmas time. I pray for peace and comfort for the PH’s loved ones during their time of loss. Amen.

Very sorry to hear of this tragedic loss. Prayers to the family.

Prayers for the PH and his family. Very tragic given the root cause was a poacher.

Please let us know who it was when appropriate. What a tragedy.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
