Identifying Mauser Model A vs B vs...?

Damn this thread is getting attention again and I'm looking back at that one rifle... Simpson also has a barreled action that I could maybe do something with.

Something most esoteric, just to have. .318 Westley-Richards, .350 Rigby. .425 Westley perhaps...

Sorry to necro this thread, but is this a late production Model B or something different? I know some had the Mauser markings on top and then covered by scope mounting later in the production cycle (or so I have read). Some items seem on point, but others seem off. Thank you.

Replacement clawmounts are probably a $2000 option in the USA.

Here in Germany, they ar about $1200-1500.

Heavily recommended to remove them and put some other sort of mount on.

Kaps Optik makes original looking modern optics for claw mounts, but someone needs to build the claw mount.

Any idea of this is actually a Mauser? Leaning toward maybe a GECO or something.

Not sure, looks like a 1950-1970's sporterized military rifle. I can't see the rest of the stock, the fore end looks off.

Triggers seem like FN DeLuxe double-set triggers. I would also say sporterized, 50's+? I have a similar one, including the stock fore end but with modified spoon handle.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
