Congrats, best of luck! The weather should be nice!

You are indeed blessed sir. There is nothing better than taking your son to Africa for a two week hunt. The memories that young man will share with his grand children will no doubt captivate them. To hear how Great Grand Pa shot a leopard will seem almost unbelievable! Good luck and have a safe hunt.

Haven't thought about the stories CAustin but that does put a smile on my face.

Just getting back with my son i know the excitement and true happiness both of you are going to have

lots of pics

Good luck sir, great memories to be made!

God is good!

Unsolicited advice. Have your son square I his feet up and be side by side. Form a second tripod of feet and third leg being where gun goes on sticks. He will shoot better. Promise.

Need all the help I can get. Thank you!

Gladly!

I don't know much and how to shoot off sticks was taught to me, by a Navy Seal. There are a bunch of guys on here who listened and shooting improved.

@Waterguy631 is my best pupil. He was shooting sub MOA off sticks at 100 yards after he squared his feet. :A Banana Sad:

Best of luck on your trip! Don't forget to share your hunt when you are back

Where in Zim are you hunting?
Best f luck to you both.

Amen @Shannon1966, I am off with my 17 yeald son to South Africa with Balla Balla Safaris in a month! He's so wrapped up in school and spring football, we've barely had a chance to enjoy the anticipation. I suspect it will ramp up next week when finals are over! Have a great trip and be sure to post pic's and a report. As I stated here before, hunt with your family as often as you can, it is one of God's greatest gifts - the time we spend outdoors together.

I took my oldest son over last June, it was truly one of the best choices I have ever made. Most things in life seem to fade away with time but experiences and memories while hunting remain as vivid as the day they happened it seems, even more so when you are sharing it with your kids. Have a wonderful hunt.
Cheers,
Cody

Hunting Africa is always good. Hunting Africa with your kids is better. Enjoy your time together. I've been hunting with my boys for almost 40 years, now I'm hunting with them and their children. Believe me when I say that it just keeps getting better. The memories of this hunt will be with you guys for life.

Best of luck to y'all. Enjoy & have safe travels

Both of you should keep a diary of your observations and the events that take place each day. Imagine what this would be like for your great grand children to read some day.

Wish you the best of luck.

On my last hunt we had in camp a young man who just turned 15, his uncle and his grandfather (father is a non hunter). They all had a blast, and will always remember the hunt.

I think this is a great idea. I think it would be interesting to keep separate diaries and compare them after the hunt to see what things you each found noteworthy and how you both may have experienced Africa differently.
