I found a hunting game called “Way of the Hunter” on Playstation 5 that is more of a true simulation than an arcade game. If you play at a higher difficulty, it’s pretty realistic. You don’t see animals everywhere. Other than road hunting, you actually have to glass to find them. You judge their quality and have to place your shots.

You sell meat to make money to buy weapons, scopes, various ammo types, calls, binoculars, trespass fees, and pay for your taxidermy. You manage the herds by culling mature animals with poor trophy quality, or younger animals that have misshapen antlers/horns. You can over-hunt, scare animals out of an area, or even under-hunt and end up with poor trophy quality.

You hunt environments in the American west, Alaska, Africa, New Zealand, Romania, and Finland. Each area has different animals and each has its own

The only complaints I have is animals tend to run a long ways if only lungs are hit. Sometimes as much as 300 yards. That, and hitting bone structures other than the spine and skull don’t do anything to hurt the animal. Only hits on vitals matter. I was getting really frustrated with animals getting away after high shoulder shots. Now, I just shoot vitals.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
