Hunting Serbia

From you're said in this thread, I'd feel very "sheepish" hunting one. I'll go with either fallow or mouflon, or maybe roe, if that opens up.

In Vojvodina, northern part of Serbia, is potential for strongest roe bucks on the continent.
The area was once a Pannonian sea, and the soil is soaked with minerals from that time.
With good genetics, agricultural crop fields, rich grazing, and sea minerals in soil, the roe bucks grow big.

Personally, I would look in that direction, as primary target.
Best time of year for roe, when season opens, begging of May, but they can be hunted till September.

For mouflon, a Mediterranean wild sheep species, later distributed across the continent, I would look for in coastal areas, while inland I would consider mouflon as secondary opportunity animal, a welcome addition to hunt, but roe deer comes first.

Well I’m booked for carpathian chamois right before Christmas. I’m thinking of taking my tikka 6.5 x 55 with maybe 140 gr sst. My son is going to hunt a fallow or moufalon.

Chamois is on my list, most definitely
