Hunting & India

Since you are studying there, my suggestion would be to take Hungarian hunting exam, and make rifle license, and participate in hunt yourself, as a hunter.
EU has similar national gun laws and legal principles under various EU Directives, and resident of European country can get local countries firearm and hunting license. Although I cannot guarantee, in Hungary should be the same. This would be worthy effort, and will add some gravity to your initiative. Joining a sport shooting club would be even more easier, although it would not lead you directly to hunting grounds.
I agree. I shall get my license for Wildlife mangaement soon, so the hunting license should follow after. I do have plans for shifting to another country soon though, so that will have to come into the equation.

A brief I wrote for LinkedIn and the CIC about what I touched upon in India:

What We Heard in India, and Where We're Going Next

On New years Eve, I has the pleasure of taking the CIC flag to my home country in an effort to broaden the horizons of Sustainable Use and Conservation to the premier non-hunting nation.

Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Gathered voices from 40+ sharpshooters, landowners, and conservationists on the realities their trade, problem species and coexistence.
Hosted the first ever CIC Membership Mobilisation meeting with key stakeholders—seeking to unify and build the platform for Sustainable Management based stakeholders from the country.
Discussions with national bodies like the NTCA and WCCB, opening conversations on how international experience can support India’s frontline challenges, especially with mutual international policy.
Sat down with respected figures like Dr. M.K. Ranjitsinh and Dr. H.S. Pabla: whose legacy and leadership continue to shape India’s conservation path.

Our next steps-
➡️ We’re supporting partners in formalising a new national platform focused on sustainable use and wildlife management.
➡️ We're exploring collaborations that combine science, tradition, and practicality on the ground- an MoU already in the works.
➡️ We’re working to platform Indian voices into the global conservation dialogue; both top down and bottom up.

A big thank you to everyone who opened doors, shared insight, and supported us on this journey. We’re just getting started!

Here's the target for the NorthForks - 25yds off a bag, iron sights. Hunting leopards over dogs the range won't be more than that.

Flew in an airshow in Smyrna years ago, beautiful country.

Best regards,
