A hunting broker is trying to sell me a hunt for crocodile at Lake Gahora Bassa Mocambique.
He says that I can expect a 19-20 foot crocodile.
I think he is full of bullshit.
Or Am I wrong?

Thank you guys.

He is lying to you I would not book a hunt with a liar. There has never been a Nile crocodile measured over 19 ft.

There are only two saltwater crocs officially measured over 19 feet.

Bujang Senang (5.88 meters/19 feet 3 inches)
Lolong (6.17 meters/20 feet 3 in)

Lots of wacky weed that high up in Mozambique....

Make very sure all the paperwork is in place before you book the hunt. Outfitter, PH, permits etc.

You will not shoot a 19-20 foot crocodile anywhere in Africa....12-14 ft is a big crocodile and they are not found around each corner either.

Personally I would not book a hunt with this person.

I fished only the lower end and saw a LOT of them on rocky outcrops. They looked to be 10 to 12 feet long. I would bet there are some big ones in it though. That lake is HUGE. IIRC, 100 reported croc deaths per year in the lake. Photo is of a "ferry",
thirteen people, three dogs, three motorcyles and a pile of fish. I was told if you fall overboard and can swim, you'll be dead quicker than if you could swim.
