An older friend who has passed away now built me a 577 on a 10 gauge action. It’s ugly but it shoots good . It’s regulated with 90grs of varget and a 650gr bullet. He called a nitro for black load.
Looking forward to seeing your photos. The nice thing about the larger bore double rifles is that they don't seem too picky about what you feed them. I have had good luck with Varget and cast 650 grain bullets in mine for reduced loads, but the one that stands out is 75 grains of IMR-4198 and 590 grain cast bullets. It will shoot these to exactly the same POI as my full house loads and will put 4 into two inches at 35 yards.
what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
