Holland & Holland Rook & Rabbit rifle .295cal

I was lucky to win a little auction here today. These Rook & Rabbitrifle are quit rare in these parts where I live. I have handled these guns many times over the years and thought one day I ought to have one..just one. Preffered a HH in the .300cal Rook(.295).

Really nice rifle. What do you feed these rook rifles? Is there still commercial ammo for it, or it is handloading only?

297/300 H&H aka 300 Cadet. There is 310 cadet. 300 rook.

You can either buy or form brass for about all of them.

PS @rigbymauser if you're looking for a period correct case for that rifle they are rare as hen's teeth here in the USA. I have an excellent condition one available if interested PM me.

Its handloading only. I doubt Hornady will do ammunition.
I might order some 40pcs of brass and get a bullet mold plus dies.

I have the book. Its a must-have for anyone who likes british guns in general but ofcouse for rookrifle owners in particular.
