I'm originally from Middle Tennessee - Pulaski. After a couple careers (US Army and DoD) I'm heading for East Tennessee - on Tellico Lake, SW of Knoxville.

I lived in Knoxville until just a few years ago, and used to put our boat in at a marina on the Tellico Resevoir back in the day when we thought we were "boat people" ...
When you get there, there's a pretty decent BBQ joint called Calhouns right there on the water near the marina that serves a really good buffet at lunch

Beautiful part of the country.. While I've grown to really enjoy Texas, there are certainly days I miss the mountains and the lifestyle of East TN..

I'm hunting with Kubusi safaris, (requested: Tuskers lodge and PH Themba) near Grahams Town.

I had a great time there last year and Themba is a respected PH by the other PH's there. He got us in close to game. Farthest shot was my 2nd kudu around 150-175 yds.

+1 Calhouns on the water.

I've been thru Jonesville a few times on my way to Wilderness State park for reenactments at the fort.
