Hello everyone,

After years away from the sport because of my career, I'm just now getting back into hunting. My experience is limited to hunting small game (groundhog, raccoon, squirrel,) and turkey. I'm looking to expand my horizons and begin hunting big game in the U.S., as well as begin planning my first Africa hunt with my nephew in the near future. I'm a long time stalker on AH and I've found the community very inviting and the information illuminating. Any insight into my reintroduction and future hunts is very much appreciated in advance.

Welcome to the best community in earth from Australia.
There's a lot of AH members in Tennessee and Kentucky that can steer you in the right direction for your first hunting trip to Africa.
There's a few enablers that will gladly help you part with your money on all sorts of fine hunting rifles that are fit for the task.
Remember there's no such thing as a silly question but you may get some silly answers especially if'n y'all own a 243.
I'm sure if you reach out to the Tn or Kentucky boys and girls they will be more than willing to help.
The Cracker Barrel at Kodak is a great place for a meal and catch up.
