Can somebody tell me if it is permited Handgun Hunting in the Spain-Andorra-France region?

As most countries in Europe, handgun hunting in France is not permitted. I believe that handgun hunting in Spain is allowed however I am sure that it comes with lots of restrictions and regulations. I was researching on the region, consulting to shooting and hunting clubs and other public institutions, but nobody was able to give accurate information. It's like a taboo for most of the people.

To be honest, I found ridiculous the European laws concerning hunting with handguns. Practical shooting (IPSC) is allowed, but not hunting. It is a pity because there are excellent trophies for that purpose.

Which African countries allow handgun hunting - I know South Africa does - any others - I am working to get ownership of large calibre revolvers approved for Iceland.

Handgun Hunting in Europe​

German hunters are permitted to use handguns for the final shot on wounded game, by burrow hunting and by trapping. However, it is not common practice to primarily hunt game with handguns. Most handguns would anyway not deliver the minimum required energy at 100 meters for shooting bigger game.

Zimbabwe allowed me to enter with my handgun, BFR 44 mag with 4-5/8" barrel for backup hunting buffalo (and hippo). I did have to declare it for hunting and not personal defense in both Zimbabwe and RSA.
