Yep, loaded shotgun by the back door of every farmhouse I knew growing up in Canada. Nobody messed with them, no one got shot. Go figure.

This one for example is way bigger than mine and can hold much more guns I guess
Mind you, it seems a wooden forniture, but it's an heavy metal safe, covered in wood.

How many guns do you want to display? Reading this thread prompted me to consider moving three rifles out of my safe into a display in my den. I found a side-by-side secretary desk with attached curio cabinet that looks good for my use. On FB Marketplace in about an hours search, I found them priced for $250 - $1,200 within a 3 - 4 hours drive of me - I'm an hour north of Tampa. I figure the secretary portion could work for displaying skulls and other items with the drawers used for typical guy storage stuff. This one was sold on Harp Gallery for $1,160 plus shipping. I have to ping a couple of the listings to find out the interior height on the display portion.

Yes Hank, the Bullas are built like a tank, they provide a certificate of the level of safety, type of locks, and glasses. The glasses are bulletproof 20+mm multilayer as standard, or any type you like or want. The production is semicustom or totally customizable, so you can choose every kind of velvet/leather, everyting else inside, and any kind of wood outside. Size / height is also customizable. I know they send all over the world, they did many times very far from Italy - and I guess in a container it would not so difficult, they once told me that.
As far as I know anyway, they're also looking for an agent in US...

I still think about these safes often, but I am only going to be in my current house for 5-7 years. I dream of building a gun/trophy room into the next house. If I am somehow able to sneak that build past my wife it would make this safe/gun cabinet redundant, and they are not cheap.

I converted a double doored French bookcase to hold 8 firearms . The other half holds all my shooting reference library .

I had a friend build this cabinet insert out of lexan for me. I may change a few things if I had to do it again but it should slow a thief down for sure. (I hope the photo attachments come through.)

Yes they are. You basically can order any glass you like, and they provide you with a specific and very exhaustive certificate for the choosen glass.
