Yeah, it is a good deal. The wood is pretty plain, maybe that is why the price is good. The lumber on mine is way better.

my limited experience with a Ruger No 1 in 416 Rigby; stand up, and shoot it like a man; it'll thump you some, but it's tolerable.

For a tropical the wood seems pretty average.
