What do's and don'ts do I need to know to get trophies home? I live in USA and will be hunting New Zealand. I guess I'll need a broker just like getting trophies home from Africa??
Thanks Jeff

New Zealand trans is pretty simple. 1st , contact the taxidermy studio that you will be using and have them make up some of their shipping tags for you + broker POA papers. Here at my studio, the laminated tags will have your info on one side and on the other side it will have the shipping info for the custom broker , and my studio's for the USDA + a international travel packet which ill have quite a few items in it along with the broker POA paper, etc. When you get home from the trip, fill out all the broker papers and start talking to them, for some will follow them with their logistics.
When you harvest your game, it will be skinned and then brought to the taxidermist and they will salt / dry it and when ready and paid for, they will ship it by air to your broker and once it's clear, shipped to your taxidermist or to you since you don't need a USDA to ship to.
trans time is 3 to 6 months.
Have a great time.............
Pretty simple since nothing requires CITIES from New Zealand.

You have the wrong person. I have no idea what you are talking about..

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
