"Good morning Africa"

Paying respects

The photo was taken by my brother unbeknownst to me. I had wanted a zebra since I began dreaming of Africa. I had several oppurtunities at zebra but we could never get close enough or the animals were to skittish to take a shot. I had resolved that I would not get my animal this hunt and would need to return again. Our second to last day this fine stallion stood broadside at 100 yards. He was hit in the heart and ran off, I thought I had wounded him. Less than fifty yards from where I shot him this magnificent animal lay. I was overcome with the moment. From the sun on your back to the dust on his enormous body, you take in the scent of the air, the animal, the gunpowder on your finger, and you take a moment to thank the animal and the lord, for giving you that one perfect instant

l like to go on hunting trips to see differant animals and meet and make new friends, but l also want to come home with the animal l,am hunting for or several different animals. For those that say it is all about the hunt and not the kill stay home.

Forensic science is a bitch!

the reason he is in there is it was his first and only buff, and somebody told him it was tradition to crawl inside the first buff you shot. nobody thought he would take it seriously!!! you should have seen the looks on the skinners faces, and the sound of jaws hitting the ground from us when he dropped down and did it :wow::biggrin2:

Classic!!! Many great laughs around a campfire for years to come.

I was lucky enough to get to go hunt oryx in new mexico last may. until then, i've only hunted whitetail, pigs, and other varmints. i was satisfied with such things, now i'm looking at hunts all over the place, really broaden my hunting horizons.

a little information behind this, I shot him at 350 yards with a 300 win mag, using a 190 grain berger bullet going 2970 fps. i really enjoyed the hunt, it was very optics intensive.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
