Rebooked my flights from 2020. The wife and I are finally headed to South Africa April 1st out of DFW. Something we have been talking about and dreaming about for probably 5 years and after last year its been an even more painful wait. We are flying Qatar to Joburg then jumping to East London to meet Comre Safaris. With it coming up fast we are sorting out packing our bags and getting enough range time on sticks.

On the wish list is Kudu, Bush Pig over bait, impala, couple warthog, and baboon. Likely adding a zebra for the wife and have a weird desire for a porcupine if opportunity presents itself. Although we are rifle hunting, we want to try at least half a day in a blind for the experience as well.

Counting down the days...

Right on! I'm like you and booked my first safari last year but cancelled due to COVID. I understand the pain on postponing. Really has screwed up a lot of my plans.

Let's hope it goes better this year!

Good for you! Hope you have a wonderful trip, Like Uncle Sauce I was booked as well for last year.....same hunt actually but we was Covidized, 30+ dreaming of it and will keep on dreaming cause who knows if or when it will happen at this point.

Exciting times ahead..
I'm sure u and the wife will have a blast
Well done

IF YOU DON'T COME UP WITH ANY .458, I WILL TRY AND GET MY KID TO PACK SOME UP FOR YOU BUT PROBABLY WOUDN'T BE TILL THIS WEEKEND AND GO OUT NEXT WEEK.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
