Fine Custom Heavy Rifles

I just held possibly the finest bolt action rifle Ive ever held. You have to ask, Is it truly worth $33,000 Dollars? All I know is if it were in my budget it would be in my safe right now

I think those of us who have never held such a work of art (much less used, which I still haven't) fail to truly understand what we are discussing when the topic comes up. As long as it's a hypothetical we can't see past the price tag. In actuality it's a whole different ballgame.

To quote a Country Song... "A Cowboy once Had a Millionaire's Dream".

And the photo please.

Here's one I've been lusting over, a Hartmann and Weiss Magnum Mauser in 505 Gibbs

But I'm pretty happy with my working man's CZ 550 in 500 Jeffery :)

Beautiful! Just realized I didn't put any specifics in the original post.

D'Arcy Echols Classic Heavy Sporter in .458 Lott with Gost Ring and No Provisions for Scope Mount.

2L8, maybe you can find a picture of it on line, or just ask someone at the shop where you saw it send you a photograph. Which you can then share with us. If it is really that nice, ROOKHAWK probably has one.:):)

Couldn't find a photo of the .458 Lott but it was very similar to the .505 Gibbs built on a Hartmann and Weiss on the D' Arcy Echols Site and the wood was closer to the Left Hand M70 .404 Jeffery.

Im not having much luck with links on a cell phone but the photos don't do these rifles justice. I've seen high end jewlery with less attention to detail. I mean a 100 rounds with specific development and custom loading to the specific rifle. I thought that was reserved for high end doubles.

Here's the target for the NorthForks - 25yds off a bag, iron sights. Hunting leopards over dogs the range won't be more than that.

Flew in an airshow in Smyrna years ago, beautiful country.

Best regards,

Franco
