currently experimenting with the heavier offerings. Got 220gr but I like the look of the 200gr ballistics. Federal loads a bear claw but I can't find it where I live. Tried the usual places online with no luck. Federal is too busy to respond to an email. Ugh.

anyone know where to find a factory loaded 200gr round for the '06 in Ontario Canada ( or anywhere in Canada for that matter)? Thanks.

I saw some Lapua Mega 200 grains on sale from Midway. But I'm sure that doesn't help you

looks like a great round. Also comes in 185gr?? Cool. Sadly, I am pretty sure midway does not ship to the great white north.

Too heavy of a bullet for the powder capacity of the 30-06 to get reliably expansion at longer ranges.

I am thinking it is plenty to 250 yards?

For sure it's fine too 300 yds.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
