Experience with aftermarket 3 position horizontal safety for M98

Wisner also has safeties listed on Ebay. They are 190.00 if I remember correctly.
I thought Wisner only had their kits for 2-position safeties on Ebay? Those are for changing Mauser flag style safeties to 2-position safeties on side of existing bolt sleeve. Requires more sophisticated machining than I was capable of. But I seem to recall the kits were a lot cheaper than $190.

Here is what I believe is a Wisner 3 position on Ebay

Thank you all! Very helpful. I emailed him

Just thought I'd show our candidate a comparison between Wisner and Parkwest variety. Wisner has the maroon background (from their ebay ad). Parkwest is my rifle's safety. The Parkwest has rounded corners on right side aft end of bolt sleeve. Wisner has more metal removed from underneath left side of breech bolt. Not shown in photos but Wisner has thicker safety lever. Both utilize pressed in pins to hold the safety lever in place. Parkwest has solid pins (which I replaced with a piece of shaft of drill bit) and Wisner uses roll pin. As I recall Myers "Ed Lapour" design has a screw instead of pressed in pin. To remove or replace the pall and spring inside the bolt sleeve requires removing the screw in Myers safety. I'm not sure how or if those parts can be serviced in Parkwest or Wisner designs. I believe Winchester has a screw. I can see the pall hole for full safe in Wisner safety is visible when lever is in fire position. This tells me that the Wisner lever will be substantially further retracted when in full safe position ( = longer reach for thumb to grasp the safety when fully engaged).

Very helpful post. Thanks for putting the effort in on this. I’ve never done a side by side comparison of the two before.. there are more differences between them than I thought..

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?
